Son of ex-Lions C Dominic Raiola is the top QB recruit for 2024

Longtime Detroit Lions center Dominic Raiola is keeping busy in his retirement in part by being the father of one of the most coveted high school athletes in the country.

Raiola’s son, Dylan, is the No. 1 quarterback in the high school recruiting class of 2024. Currently a junior at Pinnacle HS in Arizona, Dylan Raiola just committed to play collegiately at Georgia.

Dylan Raiola had previously committed to Ohio State but changed his mind over the winter. He also considered (among many suitors) Nebraska, where his dad starred from 1998-2000. Dominic was a second-round pick by the Lions in the 2001 NFL draft and proceeded to play 14 seasons in Detroit.

The elder Raiola started over 200 games in a Lions uniform, the first Detroit player to ever start at least 200 times. Dominic also coached for two seasons in Detroit following his retirement.

It looks like his son is well on his way to becoming the next Raiola to play in the NFL, in a few years.
