This oven allows you to cook your pizza pies with wood or propane when you use the gas burner (not included). Made from durable stainless steel, the Pi has a lifetime warranty, so you can rest assured that you’ll be using it for years to come.
Additionally, the Pi Pizza Oven is “optimized for heat distribution and minimal heat loss – because you’ll want to bake longer with less fuel and better results.” This is largely due to the oven’s round design that features Solo Stove’s Signature Airflow and Demi Dome Construction.
While there’s nothing wrong with cooking your pizza on a traditional square rack in your indoor oven, using a round pizza oven (and the included reversible pizza stone) makes the crust nice and crispy. Not to mention, this oven makes the whole cooking process feel like a fun event! But that’s not to say the Pi is complicated. The setup is actually quite quick, and the oven can handle either one 12-inch pie or a few personal pizzas.
As for run time, the brand explains in its FAQs that the Pi “can run for as long as three hours when wood-firing your pizza, depending on how much ash collects in the ash pan. Once the ash pan is full, the pizza party is over. When gas-firing your pizza, Pi can run for as long as your propane tank still has fuel.”
Solo Stove also points out that you can use your Pi for any food that could use some crisping up. Think flatbreads and other low-moisture, low-fat recipes.
