Softball: Late surge sends Bullard past Jacksonville, 11-4

Apr. 11—The Lady Panthers of Bullard scored nine runs in the final-three innings to stop Jacksonville, 11-3, Thursday at Fightin' Maiden Field.

Bullard moved to 21-5-1, 8-0 while the Maidens now stand at 17-12, 4-4.

Five Lady Panthers came away with two hits in the game.

That list included Brooklyn Brannen, Mattison Nix, Baylie Walker, Baker, Denim Boles and Kirstin Malone.

Baker clubbed a pair of doubles for the Lady Panthers while Boles, Malone and Nix stroking a double a piece.

Walker and Baker drove in two runs each for the winners.

Notching the win in the circle for Bullard was Annistyn Foster. She pitched a complete game and gave up two earned runs off of five hits while fanning 13 and waling four.

Ryan Demi Ramirez (2-3, 1 RBI) and Jasmine Gallegos (2-4, double, 1 RBI) led Jacksonville at the dish.

At 6 p.m. Friday Bullard is scheduled to host Madisonville, while the Maidens will entertain Palestine.
