Social media reacts to Kyle Filipowski injury during Duke-Wake Forest court storm: 'Just shut it down'

The discussion around court-storming in college basketball has intensified in recent months, especially after Iowa's Caitlin Clark, the biggest star in either the men's or women's game, was knocked to the court after being run into by an Ohio State fan immediately after a Jan. 21 loss.

While it offers fans — and particularly students — an outlet for their euphoria immediately after a big win, there are safety concerns about the ritual for fans, athletes and coaches alike.

On Saturday, that debate was reignited after Duke's Kyle Filipowski suffered what coach Jon Scheyer said was a knee injury after a fan collided with him in the seconds after Wake Forest's 83-79 victory against the No. 7 Blue Devils at Lawrence Joel Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Winston-Salem.
