Social media reacts to Estime scoring first Notre Dame touchdown

Notre Dame’s season opener against Navy got off to as good a start as it could have hoped for. Led by new field general Sam Hartman, the offense ran a nice mixture of runs and passes, most of which went for good yardage.

Add a couple of third-down conversions, and you’ve got a strong chance of scoring. Audric Estime did just that, wrapping up a 13-play drive that took nearly half of the first quarter by plunging into the end zone from the 1-yard line for the Irish’s first touchdown:

This touchdown officially signaled to Irish fans that the 2023 season was underway. After waiting many months to react to great plays by their favorite team, they finally had the opportunity once again to take to social media and do just that.
