Social media goes wild after Alabama’s dramatic 79-75 win over Auburn

It doesn’t get much better in college basketball than what transpired inside Coleman Coliseum in Tuscaloosa on Wednesday night as Nate Oats and the Alabama men’s basketball team defeated Bruce Pearl and the Auburn Tigers 79-75.

Alabama was led by the valiant effort of senior guard Mark Sears, who totaled 22 points, eight assists, and five rebounds. Sophomore Rylan Griffen helped the Tide off the bench with 17 points and seven rebounds.

But the story of the night was the physical play of senior forward Grant Nelson who bullied his way to 14 points and 11 rebounds while also coming in clutch from the free throw line down the stretch connected on eight of his nine attempts.

It didn’t take social media long to react to the incredible contest from Tuscaloosa. Take a look at some of the best from X, formerly Twitter.
