The last two weeks of the summer transfer window will be frantic for Antonio Conte more than any other manager as he looks for new signings to galvanize the underperforming Premier League champion. Despite Chelsea spending £150 million (about $193 million) this summer, the Italian coach is desperately in search of new additions to his squad. While Tottenham hasn’t made a signing this window, it has also retained its players, something Chelsea hasn't managed—Conte lost Nemanja Matic and Diego Costa is believed to be leaving.
Multiple reports claim Crystal Palace will be without Wilfried Zaha star forward for up to four weeks. Zaha, 24, injured his right knee in the disappointing 3-0 home defeat to Huddersfield Town on the opening day of the Premier League season. It was originally thought Zaha could be available for Palace’s trip to Anfield to face Liverpool this weekend, but he will now miss the Premier League game against Swansea City on Aug. 26, plus the League Cup clash with Ipswich Town and World Cup qualifiers for Ivory Coast in early September.
West Bromwich Albion will demand £25million from Swansea for record signing Nacer Chadli, after completing the capture of Everton's Gareth Barry. Chadli is set to leave West Brom this month after falling out of favour with Tony Pulis but the club are determined to hold out for a signifciant fee. It is understood that Albion have already paid Tottenham Hotspur £18million for the Belgium international, which includes the original fee from last August and various installments, and will ask for a minimum £25million before doing business.
