      Recently we at Roker Report invited you to complete a survey giving your opinions on the current condition of Sunderland AFC. Many of you responded and gave us a fascinating insight into your thoughts regarding our beloved club’s current situation. We asked you six questions in the survey, and your responses raised some interesting issues. For example, over 90% of you stated that you aren’t happy with the way in which the club has been managed by those in charge of day to day activities in recent years; almost 70% of you noted that you are dissatisfied with the club’s current financial position, and 73% of you feel dissatisfied with the club’s appreciation of its fans.       Robbin Ruiter - 8 Didn't look out of place. Made some good saves in both halves and couldn't really have done much about the goal that Bradford scored from the spot. The save he made five minutes from the end was outstanding and might have just earned him a contract. Billy Jones - 6 Solid enough. Brought the laugh of the day out of the crowd when he purposely brought down his man to avoid a certain goalscoring opportunity. Lamine Kone - 7 Very good. Looked a class above our opponents. Ty Browning - 7 Another solid and assured performance from the Everton loanee. Kone looks far more comfortable at the back alongside him than he does with O'Shea or Djilobodji.       It Smells Like Team Spirit: Sunderland’s search for Nirvana won’t be easy, but Grayson has soul

      As I write, the start of a new season is fast approaching, now only two weeks away. I'm still having to ask myself how I'm feeling. I'm not sure what to make of our pre-season as a whole, but as I said previously, I think we can still take a lot from what we learn in the month of July. I'd say at this point, I'm cautiously optimistic that we'll be fine, and that our plummet down through the divisions won't happen after all as some of us (including me) were erratically contemplating in those few tense weeks of takeover talks. We have managed to bring in some signings to bolster the squad, but at the same time, players are leaving for pastures new. With Vito Mannone leaving, signing a goalkeeper
