Bayern Munich midfielder Renato Sanches has expressed his desire to join AC Milan after becoming frustrated by the lack of first team opportunities with the Bundesliga champions. Sanches impressed in Bayern's 3-2 friendly win over Chelsea in Singapore on Tuesday after starting alongside new arrival Corentin Tolisso in central midfield. "Personally, I am not satisfied with my first year in Munich," Sanches told Bild.
Antonio Cassano has walked out on Hellas Verona less than a week after making an about-turn over ending his career -- but denied reports he is going to retire from the game altogether. Cassano joined Verona on July 10 after more than a year spent on the sidelines, but just eight days later he informed the club that he was missing his family and wanted to retire. A news conference was called in which Cassano admitted he was about to make the "biggest mistake" of his life by turning his back on football, saying he had just suffered "a bit of a meltdown" and apologised to the Serie A club for his conduct. Kaka is unsure where he will be playing in 2018 but the former AC Milan and Real Madrid star remains focused on leading Orlando City to the MLS play-offs for the first time in their short history. Orlando captain Kaka is in the final year of his contract and the 35-year-old World Cup and Ballon d'Or winner is not certain to remain at the club. Kaka has scored three goals in 14 MLS appearances this season, as injuries limited his participation in 2017.
