In another twist that could make Paris Saint-Germain clear favorites to win the UEFA Champions League, the French giants appear close to signing Monaco teenage sensation Kylian Mbappe. While PSG remains under UEFA’s microscope for the club’s unwillingness to obey Financial Fair Play laws, the Parisians have launched a $211 million bid for Mbappe, according to Mundo Deportivo. Chelsea continues to look for more options up front, but their latest attempt at poaching one of Italy’s brightest strikers has failed.
Despite already securing a deal for Joselu earlier in the week, Newcastle are interested in bringing in a new striker and have sent out a delegation to Italy to try and seal a deal for Stevan Jovetic, according to TuttoMercatoWeb. Internazionale's Jovetic could be available for around £12m and has previous Premier League experience, having starred for Manchester City after a £20m move in 2013. However, the Montenegro forward failed to impress amid injuries and returned to Italy two years later. It's unclear if the 27-year-old, who spent part of last season on loan at Sevilla, will be keen on a return to England following his unsuccessful spell in Manchester. During his time with the Citizens,
Andre Gray believes his fledgling attacking partnership with Richarlison can bring more success to Watford this season after the duo combined to fine effect in the 2-0 win over Bournemouth. Gray became Watford's record signing by joined from Burnley for £18.5million and he lined up alongside Brazil Under-20 international Richarlison to make his full debut for Marco Silva's side at the Vitality Stadium. Both men passed up chances to break the deadlock before Richarlison turned in Gray's 73rd-minute cross at the second attempt, while substitute Etienne Capoue crashed home from long range to make the points safe.
