    Jahmir Hyka scored on a spectacular move in the 81st minute and the San Jose Earthquakes handed FC Dallas its first loss of the season, 1-0 on Saturday night. Hyka took a pass from Marco Urena and touched the ball straight up over defender Matt Hedges as he raced by before putting the ball in off the post for his third goal. David Bingham made three difficult saves for his fifth shutout, the 25th in his seven seasons with San Jose (5-4-4).

    Atlanta dominates Dynamo 4-1

    Not good. That pretty much sums up Houston’s play against Atlanta on Saturday night. Things kicked off in Atlanta almost one hour late due to lighting and thunder in the area. Dynamo head coach Wilmer Cabrera shook things up with his starting lineup against Atlanta choosing to start DaMarcus Beasley and Andrew Wenger up top with Mauro Manotas while Dylan Remick started at left back. Cabrera left Erick Torres and Romell Quioto on the bench. It was all Atlanta and Miguel Almiron in the first half of the game.
