After two straight Serie A losses and getting knocked out of the Europa League, Juventus fans promised a protest ahead of Sunday's match against Atalanta and they weren't joking.
As the team boarded the bus to depart for the match, angry fans threw eggs and bottles, while one guy somehow got close enough to slap previous target of fan abuse, Jonathan Zebina on the back of the neck. Zebina showed admirable restraint or overwhelming fear by taking the blow in stride and not even so much as turning around to see which lunatic hit him.
Despite -- or perhaps because of -- this kind of loving support, Juventus still went on to defeat their relegation zone dwelling opponents 2-1 thanks to a late Felipe Melo goal. So now everyone is happy. Except for whoever has to clean dried egg off the team bus.
