Feb. 12—West Lauderdale's girls soccer team won its fifth MHSAA Class 4A title a season ago, and the Knights have a chance to repeat as 4A champions after beating Newton County 3-0 in the third round of the playoffs last week. However, the Knights will have to secure a spot in the 4A Championship by defeating Choctaw Central in the North State Championship.

West Lauderdale and Choctaw Central will face off at Choctaw Central on Tuesday with a championship appearance on the line. The Knights lost a match at Choctaw Central 1-0 in December, but West Lauderdale won their home match against the Warriors 3-2 in January.
