SOCCER: Chickasha teams start new campaigns

Mar. 5—The Chickasha soccer teams have started their seasons.

The Chickasha boys and girls started their seasons at home last week and then played on the road Monday. And each team has picked up at least one win already this season.

The Chickasha boys are off to a 2-0 start this season, and they managed to win those matches a little differently. The connection between those two matches is the fact that Chickasha's opponents were unable to score.

The Fightin' Chicks outscored those two opponents 7-0. Chickasha started the season with a 6-0 win over Mount St. Mary and followed that up with a 1-0 win over Duncan.

As for the Lady Chicks, they split their opening two matches.

Chickasha's first season with Jimmy Hampton back as head coach started on a high note. The Lady Chicks defeated Mount St. Mary in their season opener before falling to Duncan.

Both teams have the Chickasha Invitational scheduled for this week.
