SNY, the official television home of the New York Mets, today announced its 2021 regular season Mets schedule featuring 127 exclusive live Mets games including pre- and post-game shows. SNY’s Emmy Award-winning Mets broadcast makes its debut Saturday, April 3rd, at 3:00 PM as the New York Mets take on the Washington Nationals in Washington at 4:05 PM.
SNY’s beloved broadcast team of Gary Cohen, Keith Hernandez and Ron Darling, widely regarded as the best booth in baseball, return for their 16th consecutive season together. They will be joined by Mets field reporter Steve Gelbs, who will be on-site at Citi Field for home games and in SNY’s studio for away games. The award-winning production team is led by Senior Vice President and Executive Producer Curt Gowdy, Jr., Senior Coordinating Producer Gregg Picker and Director John DeMarsico.
SNY’s Mets Opener on Saturday, April 3rd will kick off live at 3:00 PM with an expanded 60-minute Citi Pre-Game Live. Gary Apple, host of SNY’s Mets game day studio coverage, will be joined by former Mets Todd Zeile and Anthony Recker and former Mets General Manager Jim Duquette. They will return following the game for W.B. Mason Post-Game Live to break down all the action.
The Mets open the 2021 season on Thursday, April 1st in Washington. SNY will provide fans with exclusive live coverage beginning at 5:30 PM with Baseball Night in New York followed by a special 60-minute Citi Pre-Game Live at 6:00 PM with Apple, Zeile and Recker. SNY’s coverage will continue with W.B. Mason Post-Game Live following the game.
SNY will also continue its long-standing partnership this season with PIX11. SNY will produce 28 Mets games, including a pre-game show prior to each one, for its broadcast partner.
Throughout the season, all Mets games as well as pre- and post-game coverage on SNY will be streamed live to SNY subscribers via SNY.tv and the NBC Sports app to authenticated SNY subscribers. SNY’s “TV Everywhere” streaming service is distributed in collaboration with the NBC Sports Group, whose corporate affiliate is a minority owner of SNY.
