Snoop Dogg is the playoff good luck charm the Capitals need

The NHL Playoffs are almost here and Snoop Dogg - Yes, Snoop Dogg - has a message for the Washington Capitals.

The NHL is doing things.

The 2018 NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs begin next week, and with the Capitals locked in to the No. 1 Metro Division seed, the team is once again eyeing a deep playoff run.

We won't give you a history lesson because you are probably aware, but if there was ever a time for a good luck charm, it's right now in 2018.

Enter Snoop Dogg.

The rapper/youth football coach/game show host fancies himself an Anaheim Ducks fan.  But as the playoffs approach, and as Snoop Dogg gets ready to join the NHL for the Playoffs beginning on April 11, the artist formerly known as Snoop Lion shouted out the Capitals, and coronated Alex Ovechkin as "his nephew," a title held in the highest regard to the Snoop D-O-Double-G.

Now, to be fair, Snoop Dogg also did a very similar video for the Nashville Predators.

A Capitals vs. Predators Stanley Cup Final with Snoop Dogg as the MC? Yes please.
