SNHU women's, men's basketball teams sweep Saint Anselm

Jan. 24—Jess Knight matched a career high with 24 points, leading the Southern New Hampshire University women's basketball team past Saint Anselm 66-55 on Wednesday at the Stan Spirou Field House on SNHU's campus.

Knight, a senior forward, also grabbed 13 rebounds to help the Penmen improve to 9-3 in the Northeast-10 Conference and 11-5 overall.

Adriana Timberlake and Meghan Gordon added 15 points each for SNHU, which swept the regular-season series with the Hawks (5-7 and 8-10).

In the men's game, Matt Becht poured in 21 points to lead SNHU to an 82-52 victory over the Hawks. SNHU is 7-5 in the NE-10, 11-6 overall.

Matt Becker led Saint Anselm (6-6, 8-10) with 21 points.
