SNF Grill brings game-day experience to Seattle, thanks frontline workers originally appeared on NBC Sports Northwest
Frontline workers, teachers and firefighters decked out in action green and navy blue, scrubs, or proximity fire suits made their way to the SNF Grill in Week 5 as the mobile concession stand stopped in the Emerald City.

The SNF Grill took over St. Anne’s Hospital and Grover Cleveland High School, bringing the official gameday stadium experience to the local Seattle community.
“We’re really just enjoying being in the community, taking care of those who have been taking care of us for so long,” CenturyLink Field executive chef Matteo Cassini said. “This COVID thing’s going seven months strong and we don’t see an end in sight, so we’ve got to go back into the community and take care of those who are taking care of us.”
The essential workers enjoyed gameday grub options like vegan cauliflower tabbouleh salad, chicken bahn mi, “smokehouse” short rib, and PNW nachos topped with Dungeness crab and local cheese sauce.

Cassini said he was inspired to bring 12s a food experience similar to the one they would experience at The Clink.
“Obviously we can’t have fans just yet, but let’s showcase what we would do if it was at a game and bring it to this community,” Cassini said.
And a gameday experience wouldn’t be complete without a visit from the Blitz The Seahawk and the Seahawks Dancers, who were also in attendance to bring the spirit of the 12s.
In accordance with health and safety standards, social distancing and masks were required at all stops. Hand sanitizing stations were also set up to keep people safe.
Through five weeks, the SNF Grill has made 12 stops and fed over 1,000 frontline workers and first responders. Tour manager Rick Levitt says the SNF Grill hit the 10,000-mile mark upon arriving in Seattle.
“It’s a great feeling to see their faces light up with appreciation we’re finally showing them for all that they’ve done,” Leavitt said.
