Smoke from Canadian Wildfires creates eerie, hazy conditions in part of the U.S.

Southern winds produce damaging air quality in the East

The 100-plus wildfires burning in the Canadian province of Nova Scotia and Quebec—bringing the overall total across the continent to over 400—have created a heavy amount of devastation. And with the winds drifting southward, people in the U.S. in areas like the Adirondacks, Eastern Lake Ontario, Central New York, and Western New York have felt the effects of the fiery surge.

A step outside is a walk into an eerie haze brought on by the smoky onslaught of Mother Nature.
