Ski Valley all-conference volleyball team announced

GAYLORD - The 2021 Ski Valley volleyball all-conference team has been selected following the season. With both St. Mary and Johannesburg-Lewiston putting together impressive seasons it is no surprise that their presence is all over these selections.

For Johannesburg-Lewiston their historic season yielded three first-team selections including Jayden Marlatt, Autumn Vermilya, and Grace Baragrey. The three first-team selections reflect the historic run that those players were able to display each of them breaking school records.

Marlatt was previously named as the GHT Female Fall MVP for her record-setting season breaking the school record in kills in a single season. Vermilya set the single-season assist record and Baragrey was a force at the net setting the block record.

Delaney Hogle was also named as an all-conference selection as her record-breaking season earned her a second-team honor. Hogle set the record for the most serve receptions in school history.

For St. Mary, they had their star middle blocker, Ava Schultz headline the selections. Schultz was named to the Ski Valley second team following an impressive season where she led the team to a district championship and also was the team leader in kills.

Two other Snowbirds were named as honorable mentions as well as Caroline Gilling and Marilyn Harbin received recognition for their play as well. Head coach Pat Schultz had the team playing their best volleyball at the end of the season and these selections reflect their high level of play.
