Sixers vs. Celtics Game 7 officially has a start time after Warriors’ loss

There was only one guarantee for the Philadelphia 76ers as they moved on with their semifinal series with the Boston Celtics: Game 7 was set for Sunday.

However, the start time for the game was still up in the air. It depended on the outcome of Game 6 between the Los Angeles Lakers and the Golden State Warriors. If the Lakers would have lost on Friday, then their Game 7 would have been at 3:30 p.m. EDT on Sunday while Sixers-Celtics would have been slated for 8 p.m. EDT.

With the Warriors falling on Friday, the Sixers and the Celtics will now tipoff at 3:30 p.m. EDT on Sunday for the only Game 7 of the semifinals. Philadelphia will be looking to advance to its first Eastern Conference finals since the Allen Iverson days of 2001.

If the Sixers can get it done, then Jimmy Butler and the Miami Heat will be waiting for them. The No. 8 seed Heat continued their miraculous run when they finished off the New York Knicks on Friday.
