Sixers roster news: Team to sign Anthony Tolliver to a 10-day contract

The Philadelphia 76ers continue to look to fortify their bench unit for the stretch run of the regular season as they look to get themselves in a better position for a playoff run. They waived Iggy Brazdeikis on Tuesday to create a roster spot and they added somebody they think can help on Saturday.

The Sixers will sign veteran Anthony Tolliver to a 10-day deal to help out with their second unit. Tolliver is a 12-year veteran who has bounced around the league quite a bit, but he is a proven 3-point shooter. He shoots 37.3% for his career and he has a wealth of experience.

Tolliver played for the Portland Trail Blazers, the Sacramento Kings, and the Memphis Grizzlies in the 2019-20 season and he shot 41.5% from deep in 13 games for Memphis. He is 35-years old and he has not played yet in the 2020-21 season, so one wonders how much he can really give to the team on the floor, but he is a proven stretch big so that is something to keep an eye on.
