Sixers news: Frank Mason III to sign a non-guaranteed contract with team

The Philadelphia 76ers are working on getting things right for the 2020-21 season, which means working through a pandemic where the COVID-19 virus could take anybody out at any time.

In order to be prepared for anything, the Sixers are doing everything in their power to make sure they have the bodies they need.

On Friday, the team signed Frank Mason III to a non-guaranteed deal. He has played 99 games in his career. He followed two seasons playing for the Sacramento Kings by spending the 2019-20 season with the Milwaukee Bucks. He has career averages of 6.8 points and 2.6 assists across the three seasons.

Mason III will probably not make the roster on opening night as the team is set in their backup guard spots, but he is a guy that could stick within the organization with the Delaware Blue Coats in the G League. The team could definitely use some depth in a season such as this one.
