Sixers’ Joel Embiid, Tyrese Maxey remain in the top 5 in All-Star voting

The Philadelphia 76ers are continuing with the 2023-24 season led by the star duo of Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxey. The two of them have been the driving force in Philadelphia’s success and with the Feb. 18 All-Star game approaching, one has to assume that they both will be in it.

In the NBA’s second return of fan voting for the All-Star game, Embiid remains second behind only Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo. The big fella has garnered 2,975,987 votes thus far.

As for Maxey, he remains fifth in All-Star voting in the backcourt. He has 842,044 votes behind Donovan Mitchell (4), Damian Lillard (3), Trae Young (2), and Tyrese Haliburton (1).

One has to assume that Embiid will be a starter and be named an All-Star for the sixth time in his career. As for Maxey, even if he doesn’t get in as a starter, one has to assume that he will be in there as a reserve which would mark his first-ever All-Star appearance.
