Sixers guard De’Anthony Melton shines in Drew League playoff game
With NBA training camp set to begin at the end of September, now is the time players are getting in their final workouts to be ready for the 2022-23 season.
New Philadelphia 76ers guard De’Anthony Melton, acquired in a draft night trade from the Memphis Grizzlies, has been participating in the Drew League. On Saturday, Melton had a playoff game and the four-year veteran out of USC went to work on the floor.
Melton had 26 points, six rebounds, five assists and three steals in a big performance on the floor. He continues to show off a needed athleticism that Philadelphia will certainly welcome on its roster.

Melton averaged 10.8 points and 4.5 rebounds while shooting 37.4% from deep in the 2021-22 season with the Grizzlies. He is going to contribute on both ends of the floor while adding athleticism to a bench unit that desperately needs it for the Sixers to succeed.
