The Philadelphia 76ers will continue to push forward as they are still dealing with a lot of adversity and guys being out due to the league’s health and safety protocols. It is coming at the worst time when they are playing a lot of games in a short amount of time and they need healthy bodies right now.

One guy they are missing is Tobias Harris who has missed the previous five games due to entering the protocols and testing positive for COVID-19. He is scheduled to miss another game on Tuesday when the team takes on the Milwaukee Bucks on the second night of a back-to-back, but coach Doc Rivers sees progress.

“Tobias is doing a lot better,” said Rivers. “I know that. Other than that, all the other guys are still where they’re at, but I would say just talking to Tobias, he’s the one guy that I’d say would be back sooner than later.”

The Sixers do have a rough road trip coming up beginning on Saturday. They will kick off a 6-game road trip against the Indiana Pacers before heading out to tough places like Denver and Utah where the air is thinner.

Considering the effects COVID-19 can have on a person’s lung capacity and their endurance, those will be the toughest tests for a guy like Harris.

“Tobias should be the first one out,” Rivers stated. “We play in Utah and Denver. That can’t be healthy. That’s not even healthy for me. It is what it is and we’ll see how it goes.”

The Sixers will need to be able to lean on each other until Harris can return, but when he does, he will be a big help to their lineup with his ability to score efficiently and help on the glass.
