Sixers big man Andre Drummond to provide scholarships to student athletes

It is always good to see professional athletes give back to students in order to help them with their future. Considering the position they are in, they can always lend a helping hand and give back in different ways.

For Philadelphia 76ers big man Andre Drummond, he is deciding to give away a $15,000 scholarship to five lucky student-athletes. He has teamed up with global medical aesthetics company BTL to give away the scholarships and the company will accept submissions through February 2022 which student-athletes can apply here. Winners will also receive a congratulatory video from Drummond himself.

Per an official press release, part of BTL’s ongoing CARES CSR initiative, the program aims to empower graduating high school and currently enrolled college students across the country to pursue higher education to strengthen their path to successful future careers. During the submission period, interested applicants will submit a video sharing their aspirations and what confidence in their sport means to them.

As for on the court, Drummond and the Sixers will be looking to end a 4-game skid on Tuesday when they take on the Utah Jazz to continue their road trip.
