DJ SHORT: Astros outfielder Kyle Tucker has been one of the hottest hitting players in the game over the past couple of weeks. As it appears, his luck is finally starting to even out. Even when Tucker was struggling, remember he's hitting 175 as recently as May 8th, his quality of contact indicated that he deserved better.

If you look at Baseball Savant and separate batting average from expected batting average, Tucker has still been one of the unluckiest players in the games. Tucker is hitting the ball just as hard as he did last season, if not more so, according to some metrics. The other promising take away is that he's improved his contact rate while chasing fewer pitches outside of the strike zone. There might have been some questions about Tucker's ability to duplicate what he did during the shortened 60 game season, it's a small sample, I get it. But he's looking like the real deal is a top 20 fantasy outfielder with the potential for even more.
