Saturday was a big day for Mississippi State football recruiting as the team added two commitments to the 2018 recruiting class. In the afternoon Atlanta, Ga. safety Tyrese Ross made the announcement that he would attend MSU and in the evening St. James, La. safety Shawn Preston committed to the Bulldogs.

Preston, 6-foot-1 200 pounds, chose MSU after receiving over 20 offers from universities throughout the country.
Academics and his relationship with the staff are two reasons Preston cited for choosing the Bulldogs.
He added that he is 100% sure of his decision and will be closing his recruitment.
Preston becomes the 13th commitment in the 2018 class for Mississippi State and Rivals currently ranks the class as No. 37 in the nation.
