It’s no secret that NBA players are big fans of smack talk, and, well, they don’t come much bigger than Shaquille O'Neal. But the Hall of Famer’s latest beef isn’t about basketball at all.

Now a part-owner of North American League of Legends squad NRG, Shaq couldn’t help but throw down with former Lakers teammate Rick Fox, who owns fellow LCS team Echo Fox, via esports personality Stephen “Snoopeh” Eliis’ Twitter:

Indeed, NRG’s Counter-Strike: Global Offensive team did beat Echo Fox pretty soundly in a recent ECS matchup, but Fox wasn’t about to back down from the Big (Social Networking) Aristotle, and responded in kind.

Taylor Cocke believes smack talk is vital to any competitive game, and could not be more stoked that some of the NBA masters are teaching the LCS kids how it’s done. Follow him on Twitter @taylorcocke.
