If there is one thing that Philadelphia 76ers shooting guard Seth Curry knows about, it is shooting it well from distance. He is a career 44.6% shooter from deep and he is shooting 49.5% from deep in his first season in Philadelphia as he has made a big difference for the team’s floor spacing.

However, it can’t be just Curry to space the floor. The team needs contributions from others such as their younger players off the bench like Shake Milton and Furkan Korkmaz as well as Tyrese Maxey and Matisse Thybulle who will continue to come along.

“They’ve been good,” said Curry. “They’re aggressive when they come off the bench. It’s a long season so at some point during the season, you’re gonna need every guy on the team to contribute and they’re learning on the fly throughout the season as well.”

Korkmaz specifically is the shooter off the bench. He got off to a rough start and then suffered an adductor strain on Dec. 27 that cost him a couple of weeks, but he has begun to get his legs under him and push forward. He is shooting 42.4% from deep over his previous eight games and he is continuing to get back into the groove of things off the bench.

“I know Furk missed a lot of time early on,” Curry added. “He’s been up and down, but I mean he’s getting his legs under him it looks like and he’s been great for us. Like I said, we’re gonna need 1 through 15 or however many we got on the team this year to have a good regular season.”

The Sixers will begin a 4-game road trip on Tuesday against the Sacramento Kings.
