Senators RW Stone (leg) out at least two games

Ottawa Senators winger Mark Stone will not travel with the team to Florida for its back-to-back on Monday and Tuesday after suffering a leg injury Friday against the Calgary Flames.

"We don't know the extent of it," head coach Guy Boucher told reporters of the injury before the team's flight on Sunday. "He's doing testing today. We'll see what happens there. It could be short, it could be a little longer, it could be very long. We don't know."

Stone limped off the ice to the dressing room in the third period of Friday's game after getting tangled up with Flames winger Micheal Ferland. He returned to the bench and finished the game but missed Sunday's practice and will now be out at least two contests.

The 25-year-old leads the team in goals (20) and points (62) this season despite missing nine games to injury. He has already set a career high in assists (42) and is two shy of doing so in points. He is six goals from matching a personal best in that category.

Marian Gaborik will be bumped up to the second line in Stone's place as the Senators face the Florida Panthers on Monday and the Tampa Bay Lightning on Tuesday. Ottawa has another back-to-back later in the week, as it hosts Dallas on Friday before a trip to Columbus on Saturday.
