One of the most exhilarating college football games of the season ended in Maryland's favor, 45-44, as Minnesota's kicker, Brock Walker missed an extra point that would have sent the Gophers into double overtime.
Take a look.
“There is plenty of opportunity. There’s plenty of blame to go around and plenty of plays to go around,” Gophers coach P.J. Fleck said while reflecting on the missed chip shot. “That’s not the reason why we lost the game.”
Prior to the miss, Walker had made every attempt this season — he took over kicking responsibilities, with Michael Lance out, all while still recovering from a sports hernia surgery.
The Terps (1-1) are set to take on No. 18 Penn State (0-1) next Saturday at Beaver Stadium.
