Acuña took a trip to the ballpark this week and posted a video of himself entering the Mets dugout before taking to the field.
"Can't wait" was the caption the 21-year-old used on Instagram.
Acquired from the Rangers last summer in the trade that sent Max Scherzer to Texas, Acuña is a consensus Top 100 prospect in the sport and part of a trio of top Mets prospects (along with Drew Gilbert and Jett Williams) who could make their major league debut this year.
Acuña, whose future home with the Mets could be at second base, hit .294/.359/.410 with nine homers, 28 doubles and 57 stolen bases in 2023 for Double-A Frisco (in the Rangers organization) and Double-A Binghamton.
He will start this season with Triple-A Syracuse, where he'll be just a phone call away from the majors.
