2020 has been full of unprecedented events. That didn't stop Wednesday.
The team's Twitter account posted a picture of Chara in the red and blue colors of the team he had battled over his 22-year career.

Something about Chara in a Capitals jersey just looks off, but it was the same case when the Capitals welcomed legendary Rangers goaltender Henrik Lundqvist to D.C. to backup Ilya Samsonov.
Now with Lundqvist sidelined for the upcoming 2021 season due to a heart issue, Washington has pulled off another move for a generational player that brings instant recognition to the backline. Then again, it is tough to miss Chara's imposing 6-foot-9 frame.
Chara played the last 14 seasons with the Bruins, highlighted by Boston's Stanley Cup title in 2011. He also played four seasons with both the Senators and Islanders to start out his legendary career.
