See it: Giants Wan’Dale Robinson hauls in impressive OTA touchdown

When the New York Giants selected wide receiver Wan’Dale Robinson in the second round of the 2022 NFL draft, eyebrows were immediately raised. His talent was never in question, but his talent in comparison to his draft slot certainly was.

That debate — at least for now — is no longer relevant as the Giants trudge forward toward the regular season.

On Thursday, during the team’s sixth practice of organized team activities, Robinson displayed the type of talent that sold general manager Joe Schoen on taking him in Round 2.

Robinson’s touchdown grab over cornerback Aaron Robinson in one-on-one drills was easily the highlight of the day. It was Robinson’s biggest play to date and was one of two touchdowns thrown by quarterback Daniel Jones on the day.

Speaking of Jones, he’s looked sharp (and aggressive) early on. Brian Daboll’s offensive system seems to be an ideal match for him despite Thursday’s two interceptions — each coming on passes in which the receiver slipped and fell down on timing routes.

Robinson, of course, did not slip. He laid out and improved his stock.
