SECTIONAL ROUNDUP: Arrows edge Miners to reach Paoli final

Mar. 2—Conner Daily's last-second shot didn't fall Friday night and Sullivan defeated Linton 50-47 in a semifinal high school basketball game at the Class 2A Paoli Sectional.

The Miners got the ball with less than a minute to play trailing 47-46, but Sullivan stole it and hit two free throws.

Cooper Bock led the Golden Arrows with 14 points, while Javyn Woodard and Carson Granby scored nine each. The Arrows are 20-5 going into Saturday night's championship game against South Knox.

All but two of the Linton points were scored by sophomores. Paul Oliver had 20, Daily 15 and Jackson Miller 10. Linton finished 18-5.

—Parke Heritage 61, Greencastle 47 — At Greencastle, the Wolves beat the host team to move into the championship game of the Class 2A Greencastle Sectional.

Parke Heritage is now 21-5 and plays 16-9 North Putnam, a 57-56 winner over Southmont in the other Friday game.

—North Vermillion 52, Faith Christian 40 — At Veedersburg, the Falcons improved to 14-10 and reached the championship game of the Class A Fountain Central Sectional.

Rossville, 11-14, knocked off the host Mustangs in the other game Friday.
