Seattle Storm receive 2020 WNBA Championship rings originally appeared on NBC Sports Northwest

The Seattle Storm started their 2021 season on Saturday but before they took the court against the Las Vegas Aces, there was a bit of business to take care of.

Seattle, winner of the 2020 WNBA Championship, had some hardware to collect - The championship rings!

My goodness, are they a thing of beauty.

The ring features the team name laid over the WNBA Trophy which itself is placed above "four strategically placed stunning stones representing the four Championships secured by the organization."

The sides of the rings feature the mesh netting the basketball hoop as a backdrop with the left side featuring the "Seattle Storm logo centered between the player’s name and number,” while the right side pays "homage to the Black Lives Matter movement with the iconic fist logo and “Say Her Name” as a tribute to Breonna Taylor."

Green stones surround the outside of the ring and the team's mantra, “Stronger Than Ever," is engraved on the inside.

The ring is a perfect fit for the Storm and wonderfully pays tribute to not only the 2020 Championship but the three that proceeded it.

Fans can even have their own hardware if they would like. While supplies are limited, replica rings can be purchased at the Seattle Storm team store.
