'This season is our best start for years!'

We asked you for your thoughts on St Mirren's season so far at the tail end of last week.

Unsurprisingly, the feeling is 'great' in Paisley...

Andy: We have had a great start to the season and I fully expect the team's form to continue. There is no reason why this team, with the aid of a excellent management team, cannot again get into the top six with the possibility of finishing in the top three. Do not underestimate the potential of the team with a positive outcome at the end of the season.

Alistair: In a season where we’ve punched well above our means, the two players who have consistently performed are Scott Tanser and Zach Hemming.

Scott has been pivotal in our attacking options and has stepped up from last season. Zach has filled some big gloves when Trevor Carson left. Improvements in defence needed, hope to see Bolton given the opportunity.

Eddie: So far, this season is our best start for years! A blip at Dundee but the break should help. We have a very good squad and with Jonah Ayunga ready to come back after a long absence with an ACL injury, it's a major plus.

Realistically another top six finish would be great, anything else a bonus!

Dave: Terrific season so far, with Robbo and his staff doing a tremendous job improving the players we have. New additions Hemming & McMenamin are fitting in well. A number of outstanding performers but Gogic is our MVP.

Stu: It's been a great season so far. The last couple of games have seen a wee dip in application in that we have failed to start quickly like most games this season. Momentum is important in football. It's difficult to change it if you fail to take it early, so hopefully we regain that momentum after the break and get back to winning ways.
