David Seaman says he’s a massive fan of City goalkeeper Ederson, calling him a ‘real belter’.

Our No.31 has been absent since coming off in the 1-1 draw at Anfield after a challenge with Darwin Nunez that led to Liverpool’s equaliser from the penalty spot.

He’s spent the international break recuperating at the CFA after pulling out of Brazil’s friendly double-header against England at Wembley and Spain at the Bernabeu.

Pep Guardiola was quizzed about his availability this weekend against Arsenal and gave a positive update on the five-time Premier League winner, suggesting he is 'much better'.

Seaman – who played for City and most famously this weekend’s opponents Arsenal during an illustrious career – paid tribute to Ederson ahead of the exciting Etihad encounter on Sunday, kick-off 16:30 (UK).

“In Ederson, City have a real belter there,” said Seaman.

“I choose him as my Premier League goalkeeper every year, ever since he’s been here.

“I love the way he keeps goal. I love the way he doesn’t make camera saves. He tries to make it look easy and that’s what I used to do.

“His left foot is a wand. He makes saves when he’s had nothing to do and, trust me, that’s the hardest part of goalkeeping.

“Then he will make big saves when he’s been relatively quiet in a game and that’s really tough.

“I used to do that with Arsenal and England.

“You don’t have much to do and then you’re required to be at your best and he does that really, really well.”
