The Seahawks will probably have to go without their most consistent offensive playmaker this week. According to a report by Brady Henderson at ESPN, wide receiver Tyler Lockett is unlikely to be activated off the team’s reserve/COVID-19 list in time for tonight’s game against the Rams.

Lockett and running back Alex Collins were the first players put on Seattle’s reserve list this week. In the days since, seven more names have joined them. Losing Lockett is a huge deal for the Seahawks’ passing game, which has had issues integrating D.K. Metcalf over the last several weeks. Meanwhile, Lockett has been red hot – totaling 278 yards and three touchdowns over Seattle’s last two games – both wins in large part thanks to No. 16.

The Rams have had COVID-19 issues of their own, which is why this game was postponed to begin with. LA’s luck has turned in a good way in this department, though. At one point 29 players were on their list but most of the important names have been activated, including Odell Beckham Jr., Jalen Ramsey and Von Miller.

Hopefully the Seahawks will get at least a few of their own key pieces back, especially cornerback D.J. Reed.

Seattle has until 1:00 p.m. pacific time to make roster changes.
