Seahawks RB Chris Carson and CB Tre Brown headed for surgery

Coach Pete Carroll addressed the media on Monday afternoon and confirmed that both cornerback Tre Brown and running back Chris Carson will be undergoing surgery.

Brown left Sunday’s contest early with a knee injury diagnosed as a patellar tendon issue.

No updates other than he is getting all of the opinions so he can get back and be ready to roll, the sooner the better to get him operated on,” Carroll told reporters. ” . . . It looks like surgery is imminent, so yeah, he would be (done for the year).”

As for Carson, his neck surgery might be scheduled a little later in the future.

“No, it’s going to be a little bit before he does it,” Carroll said. “From what I understand, he has a disc issue that needs to be fused, so that’s a surgery that can get him back somewhere late in the spring from what I have heard. We will see what happens with that.”
