In the Seattle area, the sports commission opened voting for the 86th Annual Sports Star of the Year Awards.
The Seahawks are nominated in two categories - the Men’s Sports Star of the Year and the Sports Story of the Year.
The nomination for the story of the year comes from the Seahawks winning the NFC West division (11th division title) and ending the season going 12-4 for the year.

Also, the team had zero coaches or players test positive for Covid-19. This is big especially after the year the NFL went through.
Besides MLS, MLB, and collegiate players, only one Seahawks player made the nomination for the Star of Year: Seahawks linebacker K.J. Wright.
For his incredible performance this past season, @KJ_WRIGHT34 has been nominated for the Seattle Sports Star of the Year Award.

Wright capped off his 10th season with the Seahawks this past year and put up some great numbers on the season.
He recorded 86 tackles, 11 tackles for loss, 10 passes defended, two sacks, one forced fumble, one interception, and had two fumble recoveries.
For being in his 10th season, Wright made an impact on the defense that still proves to Seahawks fans that the defense is the heart of the team.
Even teammate Bobby Wagner is in support and wants people to vote for his brother in arms.
