Seahawks: Best and worse PFF grades from agonizing OT loss to Steelers

The Seahawks lost again last night, dropping a heartbreaker in overtime to the Steelers. They did get some promising performances from several of their up-and-coming pieces, though.

Here were the top and bottom five graded-players on both sides of the ball this week, according to Pro Football Focus.

The first half was an unmitigated disaster for the Seahawks offense. Several players broke out of the funk after halftime, though – especially the backup running backs.

RB Travis Homer: 82.8
WR Penny Hart: 76.9
RB Alex Collins: 74.9
WR D.K. Metcalf: 71.3
QB Geno Smith: 67.3

This was a mostly-atrocioius game for Seattle’s offensive line, at least when it came to pass protection. Gabe Jackson and Duane Brown did their part, but the rest of the OL should be ashamed of their performance. Brown was visibly peeved with Kyle Fuller on the sidelines at one point.

G Damien Lewis: 29.0
WR Freddie Swain: 51.7
OL Jamarco Jones: 52.0
C Kyle Fuller: 52.1
RB DeeJay Dallas: 53.0

On this side, Bobby Wagner continues to do hero’s work, but keeps getting let down by the other key defensive pieces on the back end, especially Jamal Adams. On the bright side, rookie corner Tre Brown had an excellent debut on the left side.

LB Bobby Wagner: 80.0
DE Kerry Hyder Jr.: 75.1
DL Robert Nkemdiche: 73.8
CB Tre Brown: 72.3
LB Cody Barton: 71.2

The Seahawks’ defensive line didn’t make any impact, aside from a few early pressures from Darrell Taylor. Pittsburgh dominated this game on both sides of the line of scrimmage, especially on the interior.

DT Al Woods: 44.5
S Ryan Neal: 44.8
DT Bryan Mone: 45.6
DE Alton Robinson: 49.0
DB Marquise Blair: 54.4
