Scor has released their new 2030 which is the brand's shortest travel bike. While most 120mm bikes are labeled as downcountry, Scor are keen to emphasize that the 2030 is way more than just a "bulked-up XC bike".

The 2030 is designed to be a fun-focussed 29er full-suspension mountain bike that is efficient but still extremely capable. The carbon frame is built to the same strength standards (ASTM 4 to be specific) as their 4060 enduro bike. Scor has equipped the 2030 with their Lower-Link Driven Instant Center Linkage suspension delivering 120mm of travel and paired with a 140mm fork. The frame has a Boost 148mm rear end and will clear a 2.5in rear tire.

Geometry shares the same 64.5-degree head angle with the longer travel Scor 4060, but has a shorter 429mm (S, M, M/L) and 432 (L, XL) chainstays and lower 38mm bottom bracket drop which should lean into a more playful character. The 2030 angle adjust headset gives some tunability giving a degree of adjustability for riders who would prefer a steeper 65.5-degree head angle. Scor has also added an additional M/L size to give more options for finding your preferred size.

In order for the 120mm of travel to keep up with the frame's clout and slack geometry, Scor has given the 2030 a progressive suspension curve. Scor says that this will offer plenty of traction whilst still offering support for larger impacts and landings.

The Stash Hatch in-frame storage is waterproof and allows you to stow ride essentials within the downtube. All frame sizes have enough space to fit a 500ml water bottle and there are storage accessory mounts under the top tube. Scor also has a Make It Yours program for all its bikes which allows customers to create a customized look with a choice of frame protector designs. You can even design your own bespoke designs using Slicy’s Mysublimistick.

Scor 2030 pricing and spec

Scor will offer the 2030 in three build levels starting at $5,199 / €4,999, alongside a frameset-only option for $3,499 / €3,299. The complete build options use either RockShox or Fox suspension and come specced with SRAM groupsets. The frameset comes fitted with a Fox Float Factory shock.

The 2030 will be available through Scor dealers or can be ordered online (click and collect for complete bikes / direct for framesets) from September 2023.
