For the second straight day, rain has washed away baseball in Philadelphia.

Due to rain in the forecast throughout the day, Saturday's matchup between the Mets and Philadelphia Phillies at Citizens Bank Park has been postponed.

The game will be made up as a single-admission doubleheader on Sunday, with game one starting at 12:35 p.m.

Friday's game was also rained out, and that one will be made up as part of a doubleheader on August 20th, which is the next time the Mets travel to Philadelphia after this series.

Max Scherzer had been scheduled to pitch on Saturday against right-hander Kyle Gibson. Prior to Saturday's rainout, Chris Bassitt was scheduled to face Zach Eflin on Sunday. Neither team has announced updated pitching plans.

Mets claim INF Gosuke Katoh

The Mets announced on Saturday afternoon that they have claimed infielder Gosuke Katoh off waivers from the Toronto Blue Jays. He will be optioned to Triple-A Syracuse. Katoh, 27, made his major league debut on April 9 with Toronto.
