SATC fans are annoyed about this detail from And Just Like That
Sex And The City reboot And Just Like That has been *filled* with drama since it first aired, and fans have had plenty to say about the show. While viewers are of course thrilled that the series is back, there are a fair few details they've been less than happy about, from that Steve/Miranda storyline, to one particular Carrie Bradshaw scene.
Now, it seems viewers are annoyed about another detail from And Just Like That, and it's all to do with Carrie's apartment.
And Just Like That sees Carrie return to her iconic New York home which fans will, of course, recognise from Sex And The City. However, viewers have been disappointed to discover that the outside shots we see of Carrie's apartment in And Just Like That are actually built on a set, rather than being a real building.
The (frankly devastating) news was revealed via the show's official Instagram account, with a post reading, "Ever wonder where Carrie’s plush NY apartment is? 🤐". The photo sees Carrie in her iconic window-writing set up - though, sadly, the outside of her building is revealed to be a facade.
Followers were quick to react to the news. One fan wrote, "How could you? 😭," with the official And Just Like That account jokingly responding, "the truth hurts 😂".
Meanwhile, others added, "Don’t break my heart lol" and "Omg I feel betrayed". A fourth commented, "Noooooooo!! And just like that …the magic is gone 😢," while another reiterated, "This kind of shattered my imagination 😕".
Still, it seems like some magic is still in tact, as other fans pointed out that they've been to visit the steps outside Carrie's apartment in real life - with the actual steps and double doors shown in SATC available to visit on 66 Perry Street in New York City.
That's something to keep us going, at least.
