Lazio now sit eighth in the Serie A table after 26 matches, sitting eight points behind fourth place Bologna. The team cannot afford to lose any more ground now if they want to keep up in the race for a Champions League finish.

Lazio president Lotito responded to Sarri’s comments when speaking to Corriere dello Sport (via TMW), making it clear that he wasn’t impressed with the coach’s suggestions.

The squad is strong and competitive, Sarri should assume his responsibilities together with the team, instead of always finding excuses.
