Will Saquon Barkley return to Giants on Monday night?

Former Penn State running back Saquon Barkley could make his return to the playing field as early as Monday night. The New York Giants have listed Barkley as questionable for their Monday Night Football showdown with the defending Super Bowl champion Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Barkley has been out of action for each of the Giants’ last four regular season games after leaving a Week 5 game against the Dallas Cowboys with an ankle injury. Barkley was reportedly limited in practices for the Giants this week, but the team listing him as questionable is viewed as a positive sign for a possible return.

This all may be determined by how Barkley is moving on his ankle on game day, but there is no question the Giant would love to get Barkley back as soon as possible. Even if he is not at 100 percent, Barkley can still make some big plays with his feet, perhaps even on a less-than-perfect ankle.

Barkley has gone through some tough injury developments in his professional career with the Giants. But that’s not a perception Barley is worried much about.

We’ll tune in Monday night to see if Barkley gets on the field for the Giants.
