Santana and Earth, Wind and Fire cancel three shows, including one in Milwaukee, following Carlos Santana's health scare

After multiple postponements across three years for their Milwaukee show at the American Family Insurance Amphitheater, Santana and Earth, Wind and Fire have finally called the whole thing off.

Santana broke the news on their website Monday afternoon, and announced that shows in Cincinnati and Arkansas also were scrapped — although two shows that had been scheduled for Dallas and Houston were rescheduled for 2023, sans Earth, Wind and Fire.

No such luck for Milwaukee, though. Originally, the Rock and Roll Hall of Famers had been booked for Milwaukee World Festival's amphitheater for the day before the 2020 Democratic National Convention was slated to start in Milwaukee.

The convention, of course, went virtual, and every concert from mid-March 2020 through mid-2021 was canceled or postponed, including the Santana show.

The most recent scheduled date was July 10 of this year, and Santana founder Carlos Santana spoke to the Journal Sentinel to promote the show. But Carlos Santana passed out during a show near Detroit July 5 due to heat exhaustion and dehydration. Multiple dates were affected, including the Milwaukee show. Santana returned to the stage July 23.

All first-hand tickets for Santana and Earth, Wind and Fire in Milwaukee will be refunded through the point of purchase.
